Our mark has been left on acclaimed projects ranging from one of a kind custom homes by Architects Frank Gehry, Gwathmey Siegal, and Richard Landry, to thousands of apartment units by Architects Orange and Togawa Smith.

In the multi-family arena, we've constructed over 600 residential units including: the Arbor Grove seniors project, 150 units of apartments over 8,000 sq ft of retail stores; the Premiere of Thousand Oaks, 148 units of luxury apartments; and the West Hills Premiere, 80 luxury town-home units in Woodland Hills.

Following the Northridge earthquake, we turned our focus to rebuilding. In doing so, we realized a strong need to revitalize a large portion of the city's multifamily and commercial infrastructure. Fifty buildings and 2500 units later, we had rehabilitated and restored a substantial portion of the Valley to rental market.

Cal-Mor Construction Inc. brings together over 70 years of construction experience and involves a team encompassing virtually all disciplines of construction.

Our diversified scope includes:
  • 35 Multi-family rehabilitation projects including the 372 unit Premiere of Sherman Oaks. Starting as a functionally obsolete and structurally destroyed complex, this project was turned around in 10 months and now stands as one of the Valley's premium buildings.
  • Over 600 units of ground up in fill mixed use and multi-family projects. Top quality projects produced at minimum cost and maximum speed.
  • 200 Luxury custom homes in the "Golden Triangle" of Malibu, Beverly Park, and Santa Monica, including 17,000 sq. ft. homes in the Beverly Park area and custom tract housing in the San Fernando Valley.
Our portfolio also contains over 100,000 sq. ft. Commercial core and shell, as well as thousands of feet of tenant improvement work.

From the inception of the project, we try to explore every opportunity to maximize value engineering. What are our demographics? How can we optimize design? What are the best construction methods? What are the best resources?

G. Mike Goodwin, President

Mike Goodwin has been involved in the Southern California construction and development market for 30 years. He has been a licensed contractor in the state of California since 1981 and a licensed Realtor since 1991. Acting in the capacity of president, he has been involved in over 300 major residential projects, and has acted as Chief Operating Officer for one of LA's largest construction firms (operating revenues of $50m per annum). With a degree in business management, Mike has experience in every aspect of custom residential, production housing, and commercial construction.

Peter Freiman
With over 35 years in the construction industry, Peter's range of expertise includes high end custom homes, commercial, and multi-family projects with budgets up to 25 million and completion schedules from 3 months to 2 years. Peter's supervision leads all projects seamlessly from ground breaking or renovation through turnkey operation.

Robert Pearlman A 33 year veteran of construction has completed many difficult projects in the commercial and multi-family arena. He has worked with some of the largest commercial construction companies in the Los Angeles are and provides years of experiences in many areas of construction.
